In addition to all the already mentioned procedures before a final answer as to whether I am a suitable candidate for the Waiting List I had to have a mammogram, smear test and my teeth and gums had to be checked over by my dentist and then a letter from him saying they were in good health was sent to Papworth.

Of course everyone is different so some of the procedures may not be applicable to every individual and of course there may be other procedures necessary but if you are going through the Pre Transplant Assessment I wish you all the very best and from my experience it is not as bad as I thought it would be.
